About Our Ranch
Located in North Central Missouri, Grazing Acres was born from a profound respect for the land and a vision for its future. Our story is woven into the rolling pastures we call home, where we specialize in regenerative agriculture and the stewardship of grass genetics. By prioritizing the health of our soil, we cultivate high-quality grassfed beef and pork that reflect the true essence of Missouri's natural landscape. We aren't just farming; we are preserving a legacy. Every farm tour and personal visit is an opportunity for us to share our commitment to sustainable ranching and connect with the community that supports our journey toward a more resilient food system.
Meet the Stewards of Grazing Acres
Founders
Dennis and Becky McDonald
Their farming journey began in 1973 with a small farrow-to-finish hog operation alongside a cow/calf herd. Over the years, they expanded to include sheep and continued growing their cattle operation, always guided by a deep respect for the land. Rooted in faith and family, they chose a path of stewardship—adopting regenerative grazing practices more than 40 years ago to care for the soil, animals, and future generations. Six years ago, that commitment led them to launch their pastured pork operation, raising heritage Mangalitsa pigs with the same values that have shaped their farm from the beginning.

They are proud parents to two children—Ashley and Caleb, who is married to his wife, Juliet—continuing a legacy grounded in farming, stewardship, and tradition.
